| Qualification: |
BSc/HND/B.Eng in Engineering / Environmental studies. Minimum of 5 years work experience in the management of health, safety & environment functions of an engineering / oil & gas company. Certification by and membership of relevant health, safety and environment bodies required. Must be able to develop, manage & enforce companywide HSE policies, rules and procedures. Must be conversant with the requirements of relevant governmental and regulatory agencies on health, safety & environment. Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft Office applications such as Excel, Word, outlook and PowerPoint. Must not be older than 35 years of age. |

| Job specification: |

Will be responsible for scheduling, conducting and monitoring all in-house health, safety & environment trainings in consultation with Human Resources.
-
Will keep and updates HSE records / statistics i.e. accidents, near misses and other HSE factors.
-
Should be able to identify potential outside HSE courses and relate with Organizations / Consultants offering such.
-
Will be primarily responsible for the enforcement of Health, Safety & Environment policies, rules and regulations.

Will manage the stock, quality and distribution of Personal Protective Equipments (PPEs).
-
Will monitor externally sourced materials and services, to ensure compliance with health, safety and environment requirements/standards.
-
Will ensure that HSE posters, signs posts and boards are up-to-date and relevant.
-
Also, to ensure timely detection and correction of unsafe acts, conditions and hazards.

Will ensure the company obtains and complies with relevant health, safety & environment regulations.
-
Will be responsible for liaising with relevant health, safety & environment regulatory and certification agencies.
-
To ensure that the overall environment of the company is clean and tidy at all times.
